Revision

To guarantee a high quality translation, revision is essential. As a result, a translator cannot consider delivering a translation without having it reviewed by a fellow translator beforehand. The revision consists in reworking the text and its style. The reviewer will then aim to make the text intelligible to the reader and improve it overall. It may be necessary to correct grammatical, syntactical or vocabulary errors made during translation, but this is more a matter of proofreading.

A revision is usually done by a third party, i.e. a translator who has not translated the text he is revising. Our experts first carry out a so-called unilingual revision, by only revising the text in French without reading the source text, and then a bilingual revision by consulting the source text.
